Summer is slowly winding down and although I hate to see it go, a small part of me (and I mean a VERY small part) is low-key excited about fall weather, chunky knit sweaters, nude nails and humidity free hair! With Labor day approaching and the humidity in NYC on full force I have been brainstorming a few Labor Day Weekend easy natural hairstyles for you ladies. These simple styles are guaranteed to keep you cute and cool at the same time:

1. Roller Set : Perfect for “Dinner With The Boo”

This is by far one of my favorite hair styles for the summer months. It’s perfect for my natural ladies that want a “semi-straight look” with lots of body. Setting my natural hair with “Caruso Steam Rollers” takes less than 20mins, the results typically last all day and my hair is always voluminous and soft afterwards. 2. Box Braids: Perfect for a “Beach Getaway “

Although, this style take several hours to actually do it’s totally worth it! This is ideal for anyone hitting the beach or taking a weekend getaway. Rock them in a high bun like bey or let them hang free like Solange for a “carefree look”.

3. Flat Twists or Braids: Perfect for a “Day party or Music Festival”

I’m heading to Fool’s Gold Day Off Party in BK and this may be my style of choice. It literally takes about 15 minutes to execute. The best thing about this simple style is that you can dress it up or down! Adding a few bold accessories can take this from simple to bold statement in just minutes.

4. The Pineapple: Perfect for a “Girls Night Out”

This style is sassy, easy and super chic. This is perfect for hitting a club or lounge. You won’t have to worry about your hair sweating out or transforming into a puffy bird’s nest after a few dances. I’ve been there…not cute! Watch my easy tutorial

Quick Tip: Add a few perm rods to the ends or do a few chunky twists overnight to add some texture if your hair lacks curl definition.
