I was recently invited to visit Sawgrass Mills. home to more tha 60 retailers that are exclusive in the South Florida area. Whenever I come to this mall, I always have a game plan. It’s HUGE! Maybe the largest mall I’ve ever been to. I decided I wanted to hit the major department stores to find a killer pair of shoes.
I hit Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH first…their shoe selection is crazy good. You do have to dig though. If you follow me on Instagram you already know I found everything from Givenchy, Jimmy Choo, to Giuseppe Zanotti. I was floored with the Givenchy find alone. They also have a great mix of contemporary brands as well. The store can be a little chaotic though, and you may not get the original box for your shoe. This is a big deal to me because I keep my boxes.
After I hit Bloomingdale’s which is nicer and more organized but had less of an extensive selection. Which also makes it quick to get in and get out. I found a pair of Burberry heels there that are still on my mind actually. They were damaged though, so I thought I’d check the other spots and come back for them.
Neiman Marcus Last Call was immaculate and I got to try on a pair of Tom Ford over the knee boots. I die. Their luxury picks are the best of the lot. They have EVERYBODY and are very well-organized and clean. I didn’t fall head over heels in love with anything though.
Finally I made my way to Barney’s New York Outlet!!! The experience at the stores at The Colonnade section of Sawgrass are more of regular retail vibe, less outlet. At Barney’s you have to ask for your size for shoes, and they go to the back to get it. I felt like I was in a regular retail store but the prices were crazy good. Since purchasing the Isabel Marant’s (at more than 50% off ) you see above the sales girl has sent me an email to let me know she’s available should I need anything else. I love a luxury experience and I saved MEGA bucks on these boots.
