This might be TV's biggest night, but for all of us beauty nerds out there, it's also a pretty important night. From cat eyes to red lips, nail art to updos, the stars bring it all to the Emmy Awards. And this year was no different. Out of all the beauty looks we spotted, a few trends stuck out. Trending for lips this year was a bold and sumptuous red, while on the other end of the spectrum, nails were kept rounded, simple and nude. Check out some of the famous faces touting these trends.

Red Lips

We already told you red was a trend for the stars' gowns, but it also got some air time on the pouts of some big stars. From a more subtle cherry on Christina Hendricks and Claire Danes to a deep crimson on Alexandra Daddario and Rose Leslie, classic red was a definite hot look for lips.

Nude Nails

Unlike the bold red trend for lips, many stars opted for more tame tips. Nude nail polish replaced the nail art trend of the past few awards shows. From beige to eggshell, fleshy tones kept stars' manis simple and sweet. Some of our favorites were Taylor Schilling's unassuming beige, Heidi Klum's peachy tones and Kiernan Shipka's creamy eggshell.
