Rich Girl Blogs?

So I am home sick and blog hoping. I have noticed that blogs are becoming exactly what I was against in my last days of hard blogging.

  1. Media still refuses to offer diversity in the blogs they expose
  2. Bloggers seem more “DESIGNER FOCUSED”
  3. Everything is Cartier bracelets, red bottoms, Valentino…etc, etc
  4. The real working girl seems lost somewhere, and cant be found
  5. I cant relate to any bloggers that are in the magazines.

I don’t mean to be rude, but this is how I see it. The only bloggers being published, noted on stylists websites, or by designers are all high end. This makes me want to start blogging like I use to, because I could at least relate to myself.

Who am I? I am a 35 year old MOM with two kids, and a 16 year old marriage that gets better with time. I have a career in marketing, with a social media background as well. Interior design is a passion of mine. I don’t line my closet in red bottoms because my budget wont allow that, and to be honest that does not make me sad. I am happy with the money I make, and honestly don’t feel the need to keep up with the Mr. and Mrs. Jones. I am that middle chick like so many other women out there. If you are logging on to blogs looking for inspiration, it seems harder and harder to be found, and there are more and more blogs out there. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

There was a time when I would reach out to online magazines, or big blogs and ask about diversity. My emails were never replied to, and there was never a change. For someone like me who is raising a young woman, it saddens me to see that the world she is walking to seems like they don’t care.

We will see.

High Fives & Hugs,

Tam
