My Picks: OPI Euro Centrale

Spring collections have been around A LONG time already and summer collections are rolling in but I thought I would give you swatches of the polishes I went for this spring. OPI Euro Centrale was probably one of the most hyped spring collections this year but I had really mixed feelings of the collection in total.

In my opinion, OPI has always had quite loose concept on their collections. For example, A Woman's Prague-ative from this collection screams autumn for me. I'm not saying it is a bad thing, in fact it is good for those who don't buy nail polish that often, so they can buy certain colors they like all year around from OPI. Yet I still wonder why... Needless to say I opted out for the true spring colors.

My Vampire Is Buff - 3 coats
My Vampire Is Buff is light, off-white that leans to yellow. Because of the yellow undertones, this one is perfect off-white for me, as my skin tone has a lot of yellow in it. MVIB is a gorgeous color but a bit streaky and patchy to my liking, which may be because the thin coats I like to do. After two coats the finish was a bit streaky, so I applied a 3rd coat to level it properly.

Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! - 3 coats
Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! is beautiful, warm pink with shimmer, which doesn't translate very visible on the nails; if you look close enough you can sort of see the shimmer happening on my ring finger near the light reflection. Once again, two coats of SHA were enough to give full opacity but the result was a bit streaky on me, so it did require three coats for leveling.

Can't Find My Czechbook - 3 coats
Can't Find My Czechbook is pale blue with quite a bit of grey in it. I thought this would be a close match with OPI What's With The Cattitude but when compared side by side, the greyness of CFMC was obvious. Surprisingly CFMC felt a lot thinner than the two previous colors. The first coat was barely there but the polish ended up being nicely opaque and self leveled the best. Even with the good qualities, it did require three coats as well.

You Are Such A Budapest - 3 coats
You Are Such A Budapest is gorgeous, lavender with pink and teal shimmer through it. This kind of shade seemed to be popular this spring, for example Zoya did a similar shade but different kind of finish. I'm a real sucker for shades like this and I'm ridiculously excited the shimmer translated on the nails as well. YASAB started out really sheer but covered up nicely on three coats.

Polka.Com - 1 coat over You Are Such A Budapest
Polka.Com is light blue, fuchsia and light purple hexagons and purple micro glitter in a clear base. I was skeptical of the coverage as I was so bummed with OPI Living Daylights which seemed to have similar consistency in glitter but lacked the small microglitter. Lucky me, I was wrong about this one. One coat was enough for the look shown in the swatch.

OPI... Eurso Euro - 2 coats
OPI... Eurso Euro is a divine dark blue. Originally I thought this would be a jelly but was equally pleased and displeased to notice it's a creme. Yay for good coverage, boo for not getting a navy jelly in my collection, haha. Obviously with such dark color, the opacity is good and this one covers up fully in two coats making it the only shade within my picks.

Out of these it's not very hard to pick up favorites as I already made my selection when I ordered this sextet. I'm pleased with all the colors I got, but I must say I'm a little bit disappointed in the coverage of the polishes. I wished for all of them to be opaque in two coats, which didn't happen; at least not for me. However, I am pleased with the colors and quality in general. :)
