Hoy compartimos la romántica boda de Samanta y Jordi en Vilabertrán. Samanta nos cuenta como encontró el modelo Badajoz de la colección Rosa Clará 2012. ¡Muchas veces el modelo elegido es el que menos te imaginabas!

We share the romantic wedding of Samanta and Jordi in Vilabertrán. Samanta explain us how she found the Badajoz dress from the Rosa Clará 2012. Sometimes the dress chosen is the one you had never imagined!
¿En qué iglesia se celebró la ceremonia?
La ceremonia se llevó a cabo el 10 de Agosto del 2013 en la Iglesia de Santa María de Vilabertran. Se trata de un conjunto románico del siglo XII muy bien conservado, situado en Vilabertrán, el pueblo de Jordi, muy cerquita de Figueres.
In which church did you get married?
The ceremony took place on 10th August 2013 in the Santa Maria de Vilabertran Church. It’s a romantic building from the XII century very well conserved and located in Vilabertran. The village where Jordi is from, it’s near Figueres.
¿Dónde te preparaste para el gran momento?
Yo siendo de Madrid, no tenia casa propia en la zona, así que, tras mucho buscar, elegimos el Hotel El Molí para prepararme yo, y pasar luego nuestra primera noche de casados. Rodeada de naturaleza, la habitación era espaciosa y perfecta para sacar unas bonitas fotos de estos momentos previos. Mi familia más cercana (de Madrid y de Galicia) también se alojaba en este hotel, para estar todos cerca y compartir los últimos momentos de soltera.
Where did you get ready for the great moment?
I’m from Madrid and I don’t have a home in that village so in the end we chose the Hotel El Molí to get ready and then to spend our first night of marriage. Surrounded by nature, the room was big enough and perfect to get some nice pictures of these moments before the wedding day. My immediate family (from Madrid and Galicia) was also staying at this hotel to be close and share all the last moments of my single life.
¿Cómo encontraste tu vestido Rosa Clará?
Nosotros vivimos en París, por lo que la búsqueda del vestido no fue tarea fácil. Quería que mi madre me ayudara a escogerlo, así que en un fin de semana que bajé a Madrid nos recorrimos todas las tiendas de novia de la capital. Tengo que reconocer que mi vestido no fue uno de los que yo elegí, sino de los que me propuso la chica de la tienda. “Es un vestido joya”, me dijo. Efectivamente, una vez puesto supe que era ese. Incluso soñé con él esa noche!
Mi vestido fue el Badajoz: sencillo y elegante, pero con un toque que le hacía distinto y original. La espalda descubierta me encantó, y la cola enorme, impresionante, pero de quita y pon, lo mejor. Mi madre y yo coincidimos enseguida, ella hasta lloraba de la emoción….
Durante las pruebas pensaba que este vestido estaba diseñado especialmente para mí, pues se adapta perfectamente a mi personalidad. Me sentí a gusto todo el día con él, y lo que es más importante, me sentí yo misma, y no con un disfraz que es la sensación que cualquier novia quiere evitar.
How did you find your Rosa Clará dress?
We live in Paris, so finding the right dress wasn’t easy. I wanted my mother to help me choose it, so one weekend we went to Madrid and we visited all the bridal shops in the capital. I have to admit that my dress wasn’t one that I chose, but it was recommended by a salesgirl. “It’s a gem of a dress,” she said. Indeed, as soon as I tried on I knew that was the one. Even dreamed about it that night!
My dress was the Badajoz: simple and elegant, but with a twist that made it different and original. I love the fact that it’s backless, and was a huge train, but it’s removable, the best of both worlds. My mother and I agreed immediately, she even cried, she was excited.
During the fittings I thought that dress was designed especially for me, as it perfectly fits my personality. I felt at ease in it all day, and what is more important, I felt like myself, not like a costume I was wearing which is what any bride wants to avoid.

Y el tocado (si llevabas) ¿de dónde era?
No llevé tocado, sino un recogido bajo que quedaba perfecto para resaltar el cuello del vestido y poder poner el velo, también de Rosa Clara. Llevaba una peineta plateada para decorar, regalo de mi madre.
And the headdress (if you wore one) where was it from?
I didn’t wear a headdress, I had my hair tied back in a loose bun, which went perfectly with the high collar and the veil, also from Rosa Clara. I wore a silver comb with the veil, it was a gift from my mother.
¿Y los complementos que utilizaste? (zapatos, joyas…)
Mis zapatos me volvieron loca en cuanto los vi en el catálogo. Eran de Angel Alarcón, transparentes, ligeramente brillantes y el tacón del color del vestido. No eran excesivamente altos, para poder aguantar toda la noche bailando con ellos . Los compré por internet en su tienda online, y llegaron a casa enseguida y exactamente igual que en la foto. Un acierto.
Respecto a los pendientes, fueron regalo de mi tía. Eran de diamantes con oro blanco, comprados en la joyería Suarez de Madrid. Aun me pongo nerviosa cuando los veo, nunca he tenido nada de tanto valor en mis manos!! Quedaban perfectos con el vestido, pues se acompañaban mutuamente, sin quitar protagonismo el uno al otro.
Llevaba también una pulsera, regalo de una de mis mejores amigas, Lorena. Buscamos en medio Paris, y por fin la acabamos encontrando! Fue muy especial para mí llevarla, pues es una persona con la que he compartido tantas cosas en la vida, y me hizo una ilusión especial poder llevar algo suyo este día.
Por último, pero no menos importante, llevaba el anillo de compromiso que me regaló Jordi cuando me pidió matrimonio en la Torre Eiffel. Un momento que no podré olvidar en la vida.
Which accessories did you wear on your wedding day?
I went crazy for my shoes from the moment I saw them in the catalog. They were from Angel Alarcon, transparent, slightly glossy and the heel was the color of the dress. They weren’t excessively high, I wore them all night and danced in them. I bought them online on their online store. They arrived on time and were like in the picture.
Regarding the earrings they were a gift from my aunt. They were white diamond gold jewelry bought at Suarez Madrid. I still get nervous when I see them, I’ve never had anything so valuable in my hands! They suited the dress perfectly, in fact they suited each other, without outdoing one another.
I also wore a bracelet, a gift from one of my best friends, Lorena. We searched for it around Paris, and finally ended up finding it! It was very special to me to wear it, she is a person with whom I have shared so many things in life, and it bought me special pleasure to wear something from her on my wedding day.
Last but not least, I was wearing the engagement ring my fiancé gave me when he asked me to marry him at the Eiffel Tower. A moment that I will never forget.
¿Dónde se celebró el banquete?
Celebramos el aperitivo y el banquete en Mas Marroch, de los hermanos Roca, en Girona. Nos pareció un sitio precioso cuando lo visitamos, los jardines muy bien cuidados, y el interior amplio y moderno. Sabíamos que acertaríamos con la comida, y la verdad que todos los invitados quedaron sorprendidos y encantados. Encarna, la maître, estaba pendiente de todos los detalles, nos trató con mucho cariño y nos hizo sentir que nuestra boda era única y especial.
Where did you hold the reception?
We had the apperitive and the reception in Marroch Mas, from the Roca brothers in Girona. We found that was a beautiful place when we visited it, the gardens were well maintained, and the inside was spacious and modern. We knew that we chose the food well, and all the guests were surprised and delighted. Encarna, the maître’d, was aware of all the details, she treated us with love and made us feel like our wedding was unique and special.
¿Algún momento especial o divertido que recuerdes?
El momento más especial fue sin duda la entrada a la Iglesia, pues te das cuenta de toda la gente que está ahí para ti, y ves a tu futuro marido todo guapo y esperándote. Un momento divertido fue cuando todos los invitados se levantaron en la cena para llenarnos de pegatinas de colores y pinzas de la ropa, una broma que habían preparado nuestros amigos sin que nosotros lo supiéramos. Lo peor, quitarnos las pegatinas uno al otro, que daño!
Do you remember any special or funny moments?
The most special moment was definitely the entrance into the Church, because you see all the people who are there for you, and you see your future husband looking and waiting for you. A funny moment was when all the guests stood up at dinner and stuck colorful stickers and clothespins on us, a joke our friends had prepared our friends and we didn’t know anything about. The worst part was tacking the stickers off take off each other, that hurt!
Alguna anécdota que recuerdes que crees que pueda ayudar a las novias o que sea curiosa.
Ya me lo habían dicho, pero es cierto que es así: disfrutad mucho de la prueba de menú, porque el día de la boda estaréis tan entretenidos y ocupados que no tendréis tiempo para fijaros en la comida y aprovecharla. Yo por ejemplo, descubro cómo fue el aperitivo viendo las fotos de los invitados! Estaba tan contenta hablando con unos y con otros, que no vi ni la mitad.
Do you remember an anecdote that could help other brides?
People had already told me, but it is certainly true: enjoy the food tasting as much as possible, because on the wedding day you will be very busy and won’t have time to eat. For example, I found out what the apperitive looked like in the guests’s pictures! I was so happy and talking to everyone that I didn’t even see half of the apperitive.
¿Alguna idea o detalle original o diferente de tu boda?
Nuestra boda tenía varios guiños a Paris, que es la ciudad donde vivimos. El sitting era un plano de Paris, las mesas tenían nombres de calles parisinas, en cada mesa pusimos unas postales para que los invitados nos dejaran unas palabras (eso fue muy buena idea!). Nuestro primer baile fue el vals de Amelie y también preparamos un photocall con algunos artículos de cabaret. Y el Candy bar era una Torre Eiffel gigante!
Did you have some original or different special touches in your wedding?
Our wedding had several Parisian touches, which is the city where we live. The seating chart was a flat in Paris, the tables had names of parisian streets, on every table we put some postcards for guests and we wrote a few words (that was a good idea!). Our first dance was the Waltz of Amelie and we prepared a photocall with a cabaret theme. And the Candy bar was a giant Eiffel Tower!
¿Algún consejo para las futuras novias?
Que preparéis la boda como os apetezca, porque este es vuestro día, y tiene que estar todo a vuestro gusto y vuestro estilo. No dejéis de hacer algo que os haga ilusión, y no os conforméis con lo que os digan si no es lo que queréis. La boda es vuestra y sois vosotros los que decidís.
El día B, no lo queráis controlarlo todo, confiad en los profesionales que habéis contratado, y disfrutad de cada momento, porque es verdad que se pasa todo muy rápido.
Some advice for the future brides.
Prepare the wedding the way you want it, because this is your day and has to be whatever you want and your style. Do not fail to do something that you want, and do not settle for what anyone tells you if it isn’t what you want. The wedding is yours and you decide.
On the wedding day, don’t control everything, trust the professionals you have hired, and enjoy every moment, because it’s true that everything happens very fast.
¿Quién os hizo el reportaje fotográfico?
Wedding´s Art, y la verdad que acertamos de lleno, porque tanto las fotos como el video nos encantan!! En el momento que vimos sus trabajos por internet supimos enseguida que eran los profesionales que estábamos buscando, y cuando los conocimos en persona la confianza que nos dieron no hizo más que corroborar nuestra primera impresión.
Who was your photographer?
Wedding’s Art and we stuck gold, because we love both, the pictures and the video! From the moment I saw their work on their website I knew straight away that they were the professionals we were looking for, and when we met in person the our first impression was confirmed.
