March 2014 Empties

I can’t help but feel that the warm weather we experienced in Melbourne is constantly short lived, and often overshadowed by our much colder days. That or the colder days just resonate in my mind for longer… either way, March is over and we have stepped into April~ Means it is time to go through my trash empties! I didn’t have much to show in February, but I’m proud to say it’s quite a different story in March.

Something else I’ve decided to do is start counting how many products I can make it through now. This would -almost- give me an idea as to whether I could actually complete Project 100 Pan (though let’s be real, I never could cause that would require me to stop shopping). In January I managed to work my way through 10 products, February was 6, and March is 11, so my total so far for 2014 is 27, not too shabby! Already over 25% of the way there and we’re only 20% through the year On to my empties!

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder – Light

Love this! Will re-purchase, have re-purchased! Gives your skin a bit of coverage on top of your foundation and leaves it looking clean and matte. Unfortunately this product has been discontinued, and I don’t really want to use up my backup and have nowhere to go. So I’ll be looking for a good alternative instead.

e.l.f Peach Eyeshadow

One of the issues with purchasing massive palettes is I can’t use them on a daily basis (too cluncky), so I depot them and then the fun of owning that big palette is gone! So I’m going to stop purchasing big interesting palettes and just stick to what’s practical so I don’t end up in a situation like this where I’ve used up one of the pans, but I have no idea what palette or shade it is! All I know is that it was from an e.l.f palette, and I loved it~

Lancôme Hypnose Star – Noir Midnight

Lancome Hypnose? Repurchase? Um, a million times yes and without a doubt! I constantly get compliments about how long and thick my lashes look when I wear this, and my natural lashes are straight, short and just embarrassing!

Bioderma Solution Micellaire – Sebium * & Bioderma Solution Micellaire – Sensibio

So far haven’t found a product from Bioderma that I don’t love I already have bottles and bottles of the Crealine formula lined up for me to use Gentle on your skin, perfect for removing makeup around the eyes!

Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash

My favourite cream cleanser for when my skin is feeling tight and dry Leaves my skin feeling smooth, supple and soft. Doesn’t strip it of any moisture at all, love it This was my 2nd bottle, so I’m on to my 3rd now!

Nude Treatment Oil
Since my skin went from oily combo to pretty much dry combo, I’ve been addicted to trying out all sorts of different facial oils. I only ever use them at night since by nature they tend to be quite heavy. And being oil, good luck getting makeup to stay with it on. Nude was an interesting oil, defintely good but I wouldn’t call this my favourite just because it had a strange smell, not unpleasent but not my cup of tea. I don’t think I’ll get a full sized version, I’m still leaning towards my Sukin Hydration Booster.

Lancôme Visionnaire
I already have the full sized bottle of this, I purchased it to use in conjuction with my Lancôme Genifique serum. My skin definitely feels soft the next morning, but I can achieve that same feeling with a number of other moisturisers too. I can’t say I’ve noticed any real change to my skin, but I can say I do enjoy using it. I probably won’t repurchase, not because it was bad, just because it didn’t do anything major, which leaves me wanting to try something else.

Philosophy shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath – Melon Daiquiri
Love this product, hate the packaging! It’s so hard to get every last drop of this out without taking ages I’ve got a ton of body washes to get through so I can’t see myself purchasing this any time soon, but I can say that I will definitely depot it or replace the cap with a pump if I ever get this again! If I didn’t have a ton of body washes to go through I’d get this, smelt divine and foamed up beautifully.

L’Oreal Elvive Repairing Concentrate Anti-Breakage Leave-In *
Designed to provide strength to your hair, I can’t honestly say I noticed a huge differnce. My hair is really long (I sat on it the other day…) and so it has a tendency to break easily, and this didn’t do much to strengthen it Won’t be purchasing my own, but glad I finished it up

MAC Brush Cleanser
I go through bottles of these a year, and I haven’t found a better alternative! If you want to know how I use this, check out

Succo di Candela Juice Candle – Pineapple
Another candle down! Surprised? I’ve banned myself from purchasing anymore candles (unless they are watermelon or lychee flavoured ;D ) until I burn through my current stash, so I feel good that I’m finally working my way through this~ Loved this fruity scent given to me by Sefie for my birthday It was probably my least favourite from the three she gave me, as it has a fizzy / tangy scent to it? I’ve saved the watermelon candle till last and I’m loving it
