Hourglass Ambient Blush Powder in Radiant & Dim Review, Swatches and Photos

These babies landed on Australian shores almost half a year ago, and because I knew at the time I had an upcoming trip to the States, I remained strong and waited till I was in a Sephora before purchasing. I managed to pick up two shades, Dim and Radiant.

I know you guys have probably read millions of reviews on these already, so I’ll keep it sweet and to the point.

Quality wise, if you’re big on blushes then these are definitely worth a look. They are rich, pigmented and blend softly on my cheek bones. Be careful not to grab too much pigment, but if you do, just tap off your brush or if you’ve already over applied, just blend out with your powder / foundation brush. Easy!

Dim is certainly more a contour / neutral blush, the sort of shade I’d use for work or if I’m just trying to carve out some definition on my face. Radiant on the other hand is more a traditional pink blush look. Still work appropriate when blended out, but to me it makes the face look a little more relaxed and less “rigid”.

In my photos above, I’ve used a pretty light hand to get a subtle look. Personally I prefer my blush colour to always be subtle, more to compliment my makeup rather than stand out on their own (that’s what I prefer to use my eyes for). These are some of the best blushes you’ll find out there, so if you’re a fan of blushes, I recommend you head to your local counter and test them out

If you’re keen, you can pick one up online for $35USD each.
