Beauty Spotlight: Origins Skincare

Back in my first year or so of blogging I used to cover beauty quite a bit, so I thought it was about time I brought back my Beauty Spotlight feature. I'm no expert, obviously, but this is just what products are working for me at the moment and why I love them so much.
I wanted to focus on skincare first, as I've recently had a huge splurge on it and have been reaping the benefits ever since. Apologies in advance for enabling any Boots shopping sprees!

Origins Super Spot Remover (10ml, £14)

I'm forever reading about how amazing Origins products are and I have used their Super Spot Remover before after countless recommendations. If a nasty blemish rears its head, all too literally, then this will sort you out and in a couple of days you'll forget it was even there.
Unlike some spot treatments, this contains Salicylic acid, which will help reduce the size and redness of a spot overnight. A little dab applied directly to the blemish is all that's needed, so this teeny tiny bottle will last you ages!

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser (50ml, £23)

Sometimes my skin is dry, sometimes it's a little shiny and sometimes it's neither... so this moisturiser just shouted out to me as the one to go with for combination skin. If you love citrus then this is the one for you too. I love putting this on after cleansing as it's so refreshing, without being drying or too greasy (it's oil-free, hurray!).

Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Serum (30ml, £47)

I got this as a gift with purchase, so I didn't have many expectations for it to be honest. At 23, lines and wrinkles aren't a massive concern for me, but I have been enjoying using this serum. It has a really silky texture and feels a little more nourishing than other serums I've used before.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (100ml, £22)

This is another product that has been recommended by lots of beauty experts and it's definitely for a reason. I bought the travel size version (which doesn't seem to be on the website, but I purchased it from their counter in Boots) and would happily repurchase the full size.
I use this once a week, usually after I've exfoliated, at night time. Your face might feel a little greasy when it's on, but once you wash your face in the morning you'll realise just how soft it's made your skin feel! Heaven for skin that needs some hydration.

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask (100ml, £22)

This was a total impulse buy. I remember using the Lush charcoal face soap years ago when I had problematic skin as a teenager, so I was sold at 'charcoal' really. I use this once or twice a week to clear my pores and keep any blemishes at bay. I think this has really helped stop my skin from having its all too regular crazy breakouts, especially now I'm at the gym more regularly.
