Very Simple neckline facing tutorial

I've wanted to make this video forever now, and hopefully you guys aren't too picky about quality, because I made it myself. I have never shown how to make a perfect looking neckline with facing before! So, here you go, if you were wondering what one of the many proper ways to finish your neckline, here it is. Very easy, and simple. I know in the video and the pictures below it shows me making it on a dress form, but you can do the same on a table. Both ways work.
Continue below for more complete step by step picture instructions too!

Instructions: 1. Stick piece over and pin (I pin right at neckline so I know where to cut it out)
2.Cut out new piece to mimic neckline, making it 1" wide at least. Do this on front and back.
3. Join the front and back pieces by sewing the ends together.
4. Repin the facing piece to the collar, RST (front side of shirt and front side of neckline). If you want it to look extra nice, serge or zig-zag stitch the outer edge of the entire facing to prevent fraying. 5. Sew the edge of the facing/neckline together about 1/4" down from top edge.
6. Cut notches into the seam allowance so when flipped under it is nice and flat.
7. Fold inside and pin.
8. Sew topstitch about 1/4" - 1/2" down
