Wedding Drink Station Ideas
1. Location / Design
First and foremost, you’ll need to pick the perfect wedding drink station location. A central location not far from guests’ seats is the perfect location. Design your wedding drink station to coordinate with your decor. For instance, a shabby chic or vintage wedding might tie in an old dresser or desk as part of the drink station decor.
You could also utilize an old bookshelf and beverages served in glass bottles, like these in glass bottles.
A vintage wedding could use an upcycled vintage door as a wedding drink station, like so…
Nautical wedding? Borrow an old boat and fill with tons (and we mean tons) of ice and beverages.

Holidays? A Christmas tree, red-colored drinks and festive glassware atop a beverage cart makes your wedding drink station portable.

2. Sign
Next, you might want to add a sign to describe or draw attention to your drink station. For instance, if you’re having a Sangria bar, this sign really ties the look together.
3. Pick your Drink
Decide what you want to serve depending on the theme and season. In the summer, ice cold beverages like beer or soda are always a hit, along with lemonades and punches. In the fall, cider is a crowd-pleaser, whether regular chilled apple cider, mulled apple cider (served hot), or spiked cider. In the winter, hot beverages (like cocoa and coffee) will keep guests cozy. Spring weddings call for mojitos, limeades, punch, or wine always fits right in.
4. Accessories
Drinking glasses is an obvious must-have at any wedding drink station. However, a mason jar drinking glass makes sipping more fun, especially with chalkboard tags onto which guests can write their names. If you’re buying mason jars for drinking, make sure you buy in bulk (you’ll save money!) Also, my personal favorite are these with handles.
If you’re using mason jars drinking glasses, invest in some cheery straws for sipping. (Mason jars aren’t the most comfortable to drink from directly; a straw really helps. See more mason jar mistakes to avoid.)
If you’re having a self-serve bar, drink dispensers are a must have, as well as napkins, ice, and any toppings or mixers (if needed). You’ll also want to make sure all drinks are clearly labeled (especially when spiked with liquor). Don’t forget the bottled water!
Keep It Simple.
Prefer something simpler? Keep it easy and serve ice cold beer and soda in cans. This is especially appropriate for an outdoor summer wedding. I love the sign: “Free Beer Here”. Who doesn’t love that?
