Have you seen this show on BBC called Sherlock? It’s pretty amazing, in so far as detective shows go. When Lorna Lovecraft took her admiration for the series to a whole new level with a Sherlock inspired wedding shoot, the color palette, bouquets, lace-detailed everything fit right in. But what we loved most was the vintage silhouette cake which totally stole the show. We’ve seen an awesome silhouette wedding cake in the past, but this, um, takes the cake. Read on to see it!

Silhouette Cake for Weddings

This cake features three tiers, cascading flowers more incredible than any we’ve seen yet, lace embellishment along the bottom and top tiers, “pearls” made with icing, and the crowning touch: a silhouette detail of the bride and groom. It’s all set on an elegant, vintage-inspired white cake stand.

Almost too good to eat, no?
