Friday Lingerie Lust: Christie Nicole ‘The Great Escape’

There are some truly fabulous Australian lingerie designers around at the moment, with Christie Trowbridge of Christie Nicole being one of them. Creating handmade lingerie from her Sydney base since just last year, Trowbridge’s current ‘Great Escape‘ collection features a series of beautiful bras and bralettes in lace and satin, in summer-fresh colours of white, mint, mauve and polka dot print. Previously Trowbridge utilized leather and suede fabrics for her lingerie designs which is when I first noticed her – happily she is continuing to experiment with unique fabrics and textures for example the stunning yet delicate showpiece, the limited edition Blaire metal-chain bra which is available for pre-order now.

Alongside the underwear collection sit some fabulous leather and silk daywear styles: the Dakota shorts; the Courtney crop top and the Xana leather biker jacket which I have been coveting for some time. I’m excited to see Trowbridge grow and develop her collection, mixing inner and outerwear with the ease in which she has begun to shape her brand.
