Pixi Fairy Dust Eye Shimmers: A Sprinkling Of Magic Makeup

I used to love everything about Pixi makeup, but in recent years they've fallen off my radar in favour of other brands that seem to launch something new every five minutes and scream to the heavens about it. However, after recently getting to grips with the products down at their store on Carnaby Street, I've fallen head over heels for these Fairy Dust illuminating powder pigments. Available in six different nude and understated shades, each pot contains a concentration of shimmer and a little rounded applicator to buff it into the lid. Although they can get a little messy and get you covered in shimmer if you're not careful (make sure you keep them stored upright and tap the base before opening) they're definitely a great product for creating effortlessly chic looks.

The colours can be applied direct to the lid using the applicator, or blended in with a brush or finger from the pot. You need only a little bit to create the desired effect, the pigment sticking to skin without a problem to leave a delicate shimmer. The colour result can be built up and blended, with stronger colours offering a more smokey look or sophisticated take on a statement eye. I love using these on a naked lid, lining the eye with a slick of black for a stronger look or simply using the silver shade to highlight the corners of the eye. All six shades are incredibly wearable and versatile, ensuring you can have fun with your makeup while getting a flawless finish; they're even suitable for makeup novices who may be a little scared of experimenting. I was surprised to find out that these are only a tenner each too, making them affordable enough to buy in multiple shades! Definitely one of my new favourites. What do you think of these Fairy Dust pots?

The Pixi Fairy Dust Eye Shimmers are available in six shades, priced £10.00 each. You can pick them up online or in the Pixi boutique just off Carnaby Street in London.
