I can’t say I was awed by the Marcelle Eyebrow Pen. A lot of the claims are dead on; the pen does dry on the brows quickly, it definitely enhances the eyebrow hair color and it is smudge proof and so forth. However, I had a couple of issues with the pen.
Firstly, the ink of the eyebrow pen did not fully saturate the slanted felt tip applicator. I had to apply the product in a slanted fashion to capture the product above the felt tip. Using the pen in this way either caused me to over or under apply the product in different areas of my brows. In other words, the application was not consistent.
I’m not sure why the tip of my pencil would not become saturated with ink. My suspicious is that it might have to do with the fact that the felt tip became clogged with the natural oils on my skin (I have oily skin). Something I found strange was that I couldn’t get the product to transfer on the bald spot at the inner corner of my brow.
Despite having received the Eyebrow Pen in Universal light, the product looked quite dark on my eye brows.
I’m not completely knocking down this product, it may work perfectly for someone else with different brows.
I am simply not a fan of this format of eyebrow product. The tip of the felt applicator did not saturate with the ink product and secondly, the color was too dark. I much prefer pencil or powder and wax products because they look more natural on me.
