Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer Anti-Age Skin Corrector Review

The new Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer Anti-Age Skin Corrector promises to instantly reaveal flawless looking skin.

This anti-age cream is aimed to provide long-term benefits to the skin via anti-oxidants, peptides and vitamins. Such ingredients are meant to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, firmness, uneven skin tone and dullness of the skin.

It contains micro-pigments and when it is blended onto the skin, they adapt to your skin tone. However, this product will not replace your foundation, though it can be worn alone with concealer for an effortless everyday makeup look.

Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer Anti-Age Skin Corrector

The product comes in a convenient squeeze tube. Initially, it comes out white but as you work the product into the skin, the micro-pigments make the product adjust to your skin tone. I would be curious to see how this performs on very fair or deeper complexions.

Before application - Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer

During application – Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer

After application - Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer

The Garnier Ultra-Lift Transformer Anti-Age Skin Corrector evens out the skin tone with sheer coverage and moisturises the face at the same time. The sheer coverage has a slightly brightening effect, but nothing out of this world. It doesn’t have a greasy finish and it feels a lot like a medium weight moisturiser.

Naturally, I haven’t used the product long enough to confirm or deny the anti-aging effects. It didn’t experience break outs with this product.

I wouldn’t run to the store to pick this up unless you are a fan of minimum coverage and you have a concealer (or two) in mind to use with it, that is, if you need the coverage. If you like to skip steps and not wear a full face of makeup, then this product would appeal to you.

Most, myself included, want the coverage for work and more formal occasions. I sometimes worn it with foundation over top (yes, that’s somewhat counter intuitive). If you like more coverage, consider wearing the Garnier Transformer accompanied by a foundation used as a concealer for light coverage, just make sure that foundation matches your skin perfectly.

Available since February 2014 at $22.99 CAD for 1.7oz.
