Fekkai Brilliant Glossing & Full Blown Volume Review

Let luxury go to your head! – That, I did! I received these Fekkai products through the Beauty United Program, but had already sampled the shampoo and conditioner from a subscription service. I have to say, I was not taken aback by the Brilliant Glossing shampoo, but did thoroughly enjoy the scent and smoothing quality of the conditioner.

Introducing Fekkai Reinvented

Product description: Fekkai products are created following the ‘5 F’ principle of form, feel, function, fragrance and finish to bring you decadent textures, lush scents and extraordinary performance. Frédéric explains that his goal for the new collection is one that has long set him apart – to help reveal each woman’s own natural beauty and sensuality.

The Brilliant Glossing shampoo and conditioner are infused with olive oil and a fresh, floral garden scent, inspired by the surroundings of Frédéric’s native home in Aix-en-Provence, France. For women with ultra-fine hair, Fekkai proposes an entirely new way to condition with its first-ever silicone-free Full Blown Volume Lightweight Foam Conditioner.

Fekkai Reinvented: Unapologetically Luxurious – Brilliant Glossing Shampoo Conditioner Full-Blown Aerosol Foam

My thoughts and experience

I’m less overwhelmed by the quality of the shampoo, but that doesn’t mean that it is sub-par. The shampoo does clarify the hair and leave it smooth and clean.

Out of the duo, the conditioner is what impressed me most because of how smooth it felt in my hair after rinsing.

Both products have a light green floral scent to them that doesn’t linger too much after washing, which is great for those with a sensitive sense of sell. I wouldn’t run out and re-purchase this duo, but it was nice to have tried the full size products.

Full Blown Volume Lightweight foam conditioner contains citrus extract and ginseng, it is scented by mint and fruits. One would easily mistake this product for a moose, but it is in fact a conditioning product.

I have naturally voluminous hair, but this is designed for light weight hair – so it shouldn’t weight you down. I like to apply to my towel tried hair and use it as a leave in conditioner. The scent is invigorating and it lingers a bit in a non-offensive way.

The shampoo, conditioner and hair care foam are available at Shoppers Drug Mart or Pharmaprix for $28.00 CAD each. Keep in mind that these are salon quality products, which is why there are priced in this way.

Have you tried any of the Fekkai products? What salon quality hair product line has impressed you in the past?

*This product was sent to me for editorial consideration, my opinions are both honest and unbiased.
