Senna Summer '13: Eyes
As a follow-up to my introduction to
Senna Cosmetics, I'll bring you the eye products of the brand's summer collection 2013. Both colour stories come with matching pressed powder eyeshadows and long-lasting eyeliners.
The pressed eyeshadow range retails for $18.00 per eyeshadow and each shade comes in a glossy black, round mini compact with a matte, semi-sheer lid. Refills are separately available upon request and probably retail for a little less.Emerald Isle offers a gorgeous jewel green eyeshadow named "Emerald" that has an insane pigmentation and a beautiful sheen. "Rose Gold", a golden pink, belongs to the "Bronzelite" part of the collection and is just as pigmented as "Emerald". I don't see them both working together quite well, actually, but they're both beautiful colours on their own and not as powdery as the bronzers.
The
Ultra Last Eyeliners ($20.00) are available in two shades only, which I assume are permanent:
brown ("Bronzelite") and
black ("Emerald Isle"). Nothing too spectacular about these, they're pigmented, super creamy and stay put on the lid - not so much on the waterline. I'm surprised to see only two different shades in the overall range, though. You'd think that a brand like Senna (striving to bring 'more wearable' and rather natural colours to everyday women) would have a range of chocolate browns, caramels, beiges, greys and blacks. I'd give these a miss, especially since you can get eyeliners that are just as good (if not better) at a much lower price.
