Adam's DINOSAUR Birthday Party!

It's been three weeks, and Adam is still raving about his "di-a-dor birfday!" Typical Nathan and I (and Pinterest should take some blame as well), were overflowing with brilliant ideas for this party....and let's just say we bit off more than we could chew. I mean, the guests basically set up the whole party for us as we ran around with chickens with our heads cut off. Guess who could care less, though? ADAM! He was tromping around with his little dinosaur hoodie and tail having the time of his life.

I ordered these clever food labels from Embellish, an adorable Etsy shop, that I found through this post on this awesome dinosaur party...no comparisons, please! ;) Maybe someday I'll be that cool.
The simple, toddler-friendly menu included: Carnivore food: salami slices with a variety of cheese and crackers Herbivore food: strawberries, grapes, bell peppers, and carrots Sweetivore food: Cheerios, m&m's, and fruit snacks

Please take special notice of Asher's little triceratops bum...he just couldn't be cuter!

Some of the activities included: a dinosaur dig pit dinosaur coloring pages decorating dinosaur (er...I mean, diplodocus) cookies
We got Adam this dinosaur book for his birthday, and we are very impressed with the various dinosaurs our little brainiac can identify; they are: triceratops, stegosaurus, parasaurolophus, diplodocus, pterodactyl, velociraptor, allosaurus, gargoyleosaurus, liopleurodon, and our course, T-Rex. If you're not too great at interpreting toddler-speak, then you probably wouldn't understand what he's talking about. He does give a few context clues, though, to help us know which dinosaur he's talking about like "ceratops fee (three) horns" or "pterodacty fy-ing." He also is always telling us that there is a baby gargoyleosaurus driving a monster truck. Okay. Anyway...the party was fun, busy, crazy, and cute--just like our very own little dinosaur. Birthdays only happen once a year, and even if we do come home and collapse onto the couch in party-induced comas, Nathan and I honestly enjoy putting parties together. My children are incredibly blessed to have such a hardworking father who is so willing to help and really made this whole party come together. It was a great one!
