Sneak Peek of the Shu Uemura x Karl Lagerfeld Shupette Holiday Collection

When shu uemura announced earlier this year that they would be collaborating once again with Karl Lagerfeld for a Holiday collection and that Choupette, his adored cat companion, would be the star of it— I knew it would have to be something I needed to see to believe. Well, here it is. The Shupette (shu uemura x Choupette) Collection is definitely happening.

Not only has Shu Uemura launches a mini teaser site, but this video that recently popped up shows a behind-the-scenes look at the photoshoot for the collection— Karl, cat and all. Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved Choupette isn’t a stranger to the spotlight— in fact @ChoupettesDiary, the official Twitter account for the fabulous feline, has over 40,000 followers.

The collection appears to be very colourful, with Choupette’s furry face adorning the white packaging of most products (I spot a cleansing oil, underbase mousse, a few colourful palettes, false lashes and more). The model’s feline-inspired makeup and artistic lashes are actually very beautiful, with Kakuyasu Uchide’s artistic twist of course.
