Review: Bobbi Brown Smokey Nudes Eye Palette

The It palette of the season is here: The Bobbi Brown Smokey Nudes Eye Palette ($78) is everything you need and more for a soft or sultry look this Fall. Featuring eight eyeshadows in a variety of neutral tones and matte, shimmer and glitter textures, it has everything you need to create a wide range of looks.

Versatile, sophisticated and easy to use for daytime or nighttime looks— I’m saying if there’s one palette to splurge on this season, it’s this beautiful one.

I’ve been a long-time lover of Bobbi Brown products, but the eyeshadow palettes weren’t always at the top of my list. I usually found myself using only one or two shades out of the entire compact. The great thing about this palette is that you’re going to use it all.

The shades include Cream (matte beige), Naked (warm matte nude), Woodrose (matte mauve), Silver Brown (sparkling grey brown), Watercolor Pink (sheer, sparkling pink), Nude Beach (metallic nude), Smokey Brown (metallic mauve) & Smoked (dark matte charcoal).

Four matte shades make it perfect to sculpt a soft and defined matte eye. Two shimmery shades pack a mean punch of pigment and work wonders as a wash of color over the lid (pair it up with the dark brown as a liner and you’ve got yourself a 30-second look). Finally, two gorgeous, glitter shades give you the option to take your look from daytime to nighttime with a quick pop of sparkle.

The textures are soft and easy to apply. While they do vary in pigmentation, they do so for a reason— this isn’t the palette for full-coverage glitter. This is a sophisticated way to wear a softened smokey eye.

All of the shades are housed in a double-stacked compact with an internal mirror, making it great for travel or touch-ups.
