Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Eye Pencil Set- Photos, Swatches, and Review!

Urban Decay’s Holiday Lineup includes Ten, their 24/7 Liner set for 2014. UD’s 24/7 liners are by far my favorite- they are super creamy and pigmented, and within seconds dry down and last aaaaaallllll day long!

This set includes a full size Perversion Pencil, which is, in my opinion, the absolute best black liner money can buy, along with nine brand new shades, and UD’s Grindhouse Pencil Sharpener (which, by the way, is THE best eyeliner sharpener. Go ahead and quote me on that. If you ever find that your eye pencils won’t sharpen or are breaking when you try and sharpen them, BUY THIS SHARPENER.)

The set comes in pretty packaging that beautifully displays the pencils and sharpener. Fair warning, though- while the set looks pretty, the pencils were kinda hard to get out. The sharpener was just about impossible, I had to break the packaging to get the back of the sharpener out!

The nine new shades here range from bright, shimmery hues to mattes to sparkles. The shade range is also awesome- you have some brights as well as some smokey, everyday colors. These are also all travel-size, so they are about 2/3 the size of the full size Perversion in the kit.

Perversion is, like I mentioned, the absolute best black liner I have used. Ultra creamy, applies like a dream, and works perfectly on the waterline. It dries down to a matte finish (the flash on my camera makes it look like it has some shimmer, but its just not 100% dried down yet.

Voodoo is a vibrant purple with a metallic finish and loads of sparkle.

Stargazer is a light metallic gold with sparkle. I was hoping this one would be like El Dorado, but its much lighter.

Mugshot is a metallic taupe.

Smokeout is a dark, taupey brown-black with sparkle.

Gonzo is a bright neon blue matte with sparkle.

Faint is a medium warm brown matte. This one is waterline friendly :)

Vacancy is a beauuuutiful metallic teal. I loooove shades like this, that is no secret! :)

Moonspoon is a superweird name that is kinda fun to say. Anyways, this is a metallic gray with loads and loads of sparkle.

Glitter Rock is such a neat shade- dark metallic pink with TONS of bright pink sparkle!

I always love the UD pencil sets, they’re a really good deal and UD’s 24/7 pencils are always great texture and colors. I know last year when UD had the Ocho Loco set, the liners were all full size, so some might be disappointed that this year’s comes with travel size, but honestly you get two more colors, and did you ever finish your full size liners from last year? I never really go through any full liners unless its something I use daily, like Perversion, which is a full size here. I also love that this set comes with the UD Grindhouse Sharpener, because it’s seriously life changing!

This set retails for $52. I think this is a great deal, as a full size UD pencil retails for $20 alone, and the Grindhouse Sharpener is $10. If you look at it that way, you’re getting nine travel size pencils in shades never before available for less than $2.50 each. Score!
