End of week things

My mom was in town this week so I took most of it off, so in lieu of regular posts this week, a handful of random things to share:

My favorite store in LA and one of the select few stores to carry my jewelry, Individual Medley, made an amazing video with Wade Koch of Shark Pig. It features all the awesome people who sell their products at the store, including yours truly. It’s funny and fun and made by all really rad, talented Angelenos. If you’ve never been to the store, do yourself a favor and stop by - it’s my go-to for gifts or treat yourself moments. There’s some really cute photos of behind the scenes in the studio on the Shark Pig blog. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working with Shark Pig you know what fun I’m talking about. Stuff like this makes me love LA a bajillion times even more!

I skipped a weekly music post so I’ll give you a little new and old lady tunes share. The newest First Aid Kit song, “Cedar Lane”, is so gorgeous (ps. listen to their live KCRW set) and I heard Siouxsie and the Banshees’ “Christine” this morning for the first time in forever and just felt like randomly sharing it for some moody TGIF vibes.

Lastly, thank you for the kind words about the blog redesign last week! And your enthusiasm over what my big news is. We’re not moving, but it is a new job! I’m just not ready to share yet until I actually start as I’m superstitious. :) I only wanted to briefly mention it here as I’m wrapping up freelance work and won’t be taking on any new design clients – just weekend photo projects and of course, jewelry will still be made. More on that later, as I have lots of thoughts on leaving freelance and working for yourself and all that good stuff I want to talk about. To be continued…
