Dreaming of Home

I’m going slightly crazy. Remember how we talked about dealing with change, and how the toughest part is the transition where you’re stuck in the in-between? I feel like I’m stuck in the deepest in-between I could imagine right now, and it’s starting to drive me a little loco. We know we are moving but the move is still a couple of weeks away, and in the meantime all I want to do is get my hands on my effing house so I can make it into a home. Geez! I want to put together the nursery for the baby. I want to decorate a living room. I want to plan our new office space. And it’s making me bonks that I can’t do any of those things.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, my poor Pinterest Home board is bursting at the seams with ideas and inspiration (not to mention my Nursery board). So until I have a real home to dress up, I’m relying on that space to keep my ideas straight. And if you’re into it, a few of my very favorite spaces to look at for inspiration:

The studio kitchen at A Beautiful Mess headquarters had me at yellow cabinets. And that subway tile. Come on.

That there is a completely DIY bathroom, y’all. Can you deal with it?! I just love the simplicity and that it was totally a homegrown project. And speaking of bathrooms, this tub and pink wall combo. I don’t think I have to say anything else about it.

Still pretty in awe over that sliding closet door that Mandi made over on Vintage Revivals. Mr. Lovely and I really want to try to tackle one of those bad boys. And I have just always loved this feature on Dash Wanger’s baby boy nursery. It’s so bright and cheery and simple.

And I’m pretty sure that workspace is the stuff of my organizational dreams. I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like to have a place to put my tools that isn’t right next to my sweaters in the closet.
