Skirt: Kohl’s
Shirt: Wilt (similar:Shrunken High/Low Sweatshirt
I’m sincerely hoping that this is the very LAST totally-winter look I need to post. I am ready for warmer weather and some seriously sunny days. Yesterday was a little tease. My weather app said it was 54* and the sun shone so brightly I couldn’t wait to go out for a nice long run. And then I head off in a thin long-sleeved t-shirt and a puffy vest, which was a mistake given the freezing wind that cut through the lakefront. Oh well.
This outfit is one of those that has become a frequent weekend combination for me, although it’s the looks first appearance on the blog. It’s simple enough – basic patterned pencil skirt, an oversized comfortable sweater, leggings, scarf and riding boots. If it isn’t this combination it’s something very similar.
The other thing I love about this skirt is the fact that it can so easily been dressed up or dressed down. I can wear it casually with these flat riding boots and an uneven hemmed top. Or I can wear it more formally with a fitted jacket and stiletto heels. Honestly, both looks are very much me – it just depends on the day.
What it your go-to outfit when you need to look good but don’t want to put much effort into the entire outfit creation?
