Make a Fancy Gift Bag

Materials: 2 precut felt squares from craft store(could cut your own to make bag any size) from scrap leather cut 2 strips 15" X 1" and 1 strip 6" X 1", I rounded the edges on mine

I marked off where I would be stitching the straps down 1.5" from the top and sides of each felt piece. On the back piece I made one mark to stitch down closure. Then stitch down. On front piece I cut 2 slits one 2" down and one 2.5" down centered from sides. The leather closure will slip through these silts to hold in place. Once the straps and closure tab are stitched down lay felt pieces wrong sides together and stitch sides and bottom together. I used a zig zag stitch for a little flair.

With a hand covered note book and fancy pens would make a nice gift.
