Sneak Peek of sketches on my table and art journaling inspiration! (Violette's Creative Juice)

Here is a sneak peek of a few sketches I’m working on for a friend’s business. I had such fun coming up with these little characters!

I tend to get caught up in the world of marketing, blogging, updating facebook status etc. that i forget to do the thing i really love a lot which is drawing! In our Mojo Workshop one of the things we ask is “what do you love to do most of all?” It’s always good to fill the cup again with what you love!

I wanted to share with you iHanna’s miniature art journal blogpost. Her mini journal is absolutely adorable full of sweet, whimsical faces! This is a great idea – especially if you feel so busy that you don’t have time to make art – you’ll always be able to find 15 minutes or so to create a miniature self-portrait!

I’m off to visit my grandkids Sam and Toby to create some Valentines with them. Sam attends playschool and needs to make some valentine cards for his classmates. After looking for inspiration and getting lost in the land of Pinterest and all things Valentines we settled on these simple wax resist Valentines – my grandson is only 4 and his brother is 20 months old so things have to be kept simple. I had some grandiose ideas of what we could do but sometimes simpler is better .

I am going on a mini solo retreat (to plan my business, do some writing and art) to the Sunshine Coast on Monday and will be gone until Thursday so won’t be blogging until Friday! I’ll probably occasionally post on Facebook though. Until then I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
