A different sort of red, white and blue has lit up the skies above the avenue this week as France celebrates the 14th of July. While the tri-colored smoke clears, here is what happened this week…

- Celebrated my stepmom’s and stepuncle’s birthdays, came home with sunburned legs
In honor of Le quatorze juillet, I leave you with “À cause de l’automne” from French pop chanteuse Alizée’s fifth studio album “5.” The singer recently performed during the opening ceremonies at this year’s Tour de France in Porto-Vecchio, Corsica, which also served as the first stage of the famed road race.
