Forget about the Monday blues, today is all about PINK! We’ve seen it both in fashion and hair fashion; pink is überhot, so makeup just couldn’t stay behind. Today I’d like to introduce you to one of the most exciting collections this Spring has to offer for fans of this adorable shade.
Last up is one of Givenchy’s newest eye shadow releases: Ombre Couture °10 Rose Illusion. I was a bit hesitant to try this, since my last try at Givenchy’s cream eyeshadows didn’t end so well. Before I could even leave the bathroom, it would’ve creased like a mofo. Luckily, with Ombre Couture it’s nothing like that. The texture is creamy and dries fast into a soft powdery texture that stays put perfectly. The colour is a soft old pink you can build to make it look more intense. Not a colour I’d usually go for, but one that ended up looking very pretty. It is said to be waterproof and last 16hrs, making this also a good product to use as an eyeshadow base. I’ll be testing this some more, but it’s got me interested to go take a peek at the other colours as well.
Here I’m wearing the Ombre Couture Rose Illusion eyeshadow and the Affectif lip colour (Euphoric Pink palette – bottom row, middle shade).
Over Rose is my favourite collection from Givenchy from the past year or so. The colour range is pretty (even for fair skin tones) and so far I haven’t experienced any disadvantages that would put me off. If you love pink as much as I do I suggest you go have a look and do some swatching. In the meantime I’ll give this lovely candylicous collection a couple more spins before I bring you my hands-on review.
