Gracia

H&M dress (similar), Zara sandals (similar), Rebecca Minkoff bag
After a whirlwind week of jet lag, getting over the last of my lovely flu-cold hybrid and jetting to and back from Toronto for my eLUXE Connected Collection shoot and our launch party, I've only now had a chance to reflect on my incredible Euro trip and start poring over all my snaps from the trip. Last we left off, I was cruising around Amsterdam, bundled up to beat the cold snap of fall. Well, we're in much more warm territory now - Barcelona! Click through to see our first day exploring this beautiful city!

After living in fall clothes during the first leg of my trip, it was beyond amazing to finally whip out all my summer dresses and soak in some sunshine! When you're on the road for months on end, it can be hard to pack a lot of variety - I really focused on packing dresses like this cute little red number from H&M that have a sturdy enough fabric that not only helps it travel well, but that can double up for more bundled up fall looks as I transitioned into different climates and seasons.
With the style situation under control (just add a cross-body bag like this Minkoff one (a must for deterring pick-picketers, a big concern in Barcelona) and comfortable flat shoes), we were free to explore Gracia, the neighbourhood that would quickly become our favourite. Tapas at Sol Soler in the beautiful Plaça del Sol (in my opinion, best patatas bravas in town!) followed by a few beers, a leisurely wander all around the neighbourhood and finally hopping on the bus (thanks Barcelona Tourism!) to explore the whole city led to a perfect sunset overlooking the city at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. Such a perfect first day, followed by an amazing night hanging out at our lobby in Casa Gracia.
Life has been moving at such a fast pace since I've been back that having the chance to catch up on my travel posts has afforded me a really amazing opportunity to actually reflect on the trip and on all the cities I saw, people I met and things I discovered. Barcelona feels so long ago but at the same time, still so vivid in my memory. I can't wait to share more travel diaries from the city - it's truly a beautiful place with far too many places to explore for the few days we allotted to it!
Happy Monday everyone :)
