After travelling around with nothing but one suitcase on me for months, I've found myself gravitating to the classics more than ever. I got so used to the most elemental of style basics that instead of getting turned off by my classic skinnies and tees, I'm more in love with them than ever. This timeless look perfectly captures all of my favourites in one ensemble - the perfect thing for strolling around Gastown with Alicia the other day. That is, until we had to legitimately run away from this scene in terror - believe me, it's my most bizarre/surreal photo shoot story ever. Click through to read the full post!

Photos by Alicia

So Alicia's snapping my pictures and we're having a good ol' time in Gastown, enjoying the lovely fall weather. As I'm stoop sittin' and Alicia's snapping away, a sketchy-looking character sits down right next to her. This is Gastown after all so it's not really anything surprising...that is, until he starts shoving his hands down his pants, searching around for something.

"We're gonna have to go, like...now," Alicia whispers since we're assuming that he's probably about to whip out, well...you know. He was really rummaging around. But nope, he took out something even more awful (if that's possible)! He takes out what looks like a tiny little gun and places it down...on the sidewalk. Soooo we ran. And then my car wouldn't start and the alarm went off. It was pretty traumatizing.

Not that I'd ever have expected that, but I mean...the things we do for a shoot, right? Thankfully, that is the one (and hopefully only) time some sleazy looking guy has decided to air out his teeny tiny gun during a photo shoot of mine...something weird was bound to happen over all these years of blogging, right?

At any rate, hope you all have a beautiful (and safe!) Monday!!
