The first eye makeup...

...I actually like! As you noticed I never wear eye makeup or only very rarely, and if I do it's only black eyeliner or a bit of mascara because I always think that it just simply does not suit me. Today I got proven wrong, I got introduced to this version of the smokey eye which I adore; it's not as harsh as the black version and I like how odd it looks - there's something grungy and yet new about it. I think this look works even better with pale skin and lips. It surely makes you look like you didn't get sleep in a looong time - but there is something strangely appealing to that for me. And I'm not the only one - after all Marc Jacobs is known for sending tired looking girls on the runway!

I'm definitely going to think about reproducing this look again soon on my own - see how good I can copy it. In case you're curious, my favorite makeup artist Ania used two shades: Chanel - "illusion d'ombre" in colour 86 "ébloui" (mainly) MAC - eyeshadow in "concrete" (to take away the shimmery side of the Chanel one)
