To hipster, or not to hipster? Something to contemplate
Dude, are you in hipster denial? You may in fact be, but here are a few questions to help you know for sure:
Are you drinking an IPA right now? Did you brew that IPA yourself/know the person who did/live in the city where it was brewed, preferably by an artisanal microbrewery?
Have you ever secretly felt super proud for discovering cool music/art/dining before any of your friends did? Are you right now wishing your skinny jeans could magically transform into a pair of skinny denim bermuda shorts?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it's got to be said that you're probably a hipster. But it's also got to be said that there's no shame in that!
IPA is a fine choice, and kudos to you if you've mastered the valuable skill of either creating delicious alcohol or of being able to appreciate it. Likewise, it's nice to discover great bands, artists and food, especially when it feels like your own special thing.
