The Secret to Big Lips

When I was a kid, nothing wound me up more than being told I had ‘bee-stung lips’. It’s a bit weird, but my big lips aren’t purely genetics. Nope, I haven’t been paying a visit to the ol’ cosmetic doctor’s office, far from it in fact. When I was little, I was super accident prone (what do you mean, clumsy?!) There were at least four occassions when I ran head-first into a wall (don’t ask!) and was constantly splitting or giving myself a ‘fat lip’. Nowadays I’ve managed to keep my wall-running at bay, but have retained big lips (scarred at the back, mind you) but hey, big lips none-the-less. Now, I’m not quite sure whether this is my best or my worst kept beauty secret.

Why all the talk about lips? Ah, don’t be silly – it’s blanantly down to my cute (x1000) lips clutch from Hi! by Henry Holland x Debehnams, which (cue excited squeal!) has started shipping to New Zealand! This is my go-to bag at the moment, and such a great alternative to the beautiful (albeit expensive!) clutches by Lulu Guiness. Paired with a heart print dress and an enormous beehive (yes, there is a tutorial in the works!) I felt pretty grand indeed. A far cry from the girl who covered her mouth when the dreaded ‘bee-stung’ title came out!
