These DIY recycled shutter birdhouses are garden wall art works made by Cyndee from RecycledJunk.com. We have already featured Cyndee several times as her work is just so whimsical and fun. And 100% recycled!!

Feature :: Best of Party :: DIY Shutter Birdhouses

Which is why Cyndee’s shutter birdhouses are the linky party feature of the week!

Cyndee writes wonderful tutorials also that don’t even feel like tutorials, but that explain all. Well most of it. So, without further ado, if you wish to have recycled shutter art bird houses on your garden wall, then get go learn how to make these. Seems easy enough!

Technically this should be titled ‘faux birdhouse garden wall art made with recycled shutters’ but that was just too much of a mouthful. Point is, these birdhouses made with recycled shutters are absolutely adorable.

They are made with eaves attached to vintage shutters to create that ‘house’-shape, and metal hardware, door knobs and cupboard door plates were attached. The rusty fencing is the finishing touch that links the bird house design to the picket fence of your own garden. Really whimsical, and again a great tribute to the power of creativity when working with recycled materials. There definitely is an art to the science of making recycled materials look first class!
