Simple Style For The Busy Girl v.2

Thanks for your great response to last weeks Simple Style post! This week we are talking leggings and boots. Now, I know a lot of women have a beef with leggings. Personally, I love them. Second only to yoga pants, leggings are the most comfortable thing in my wardrobe. They are my go-to when jeans feel a little too constrictive. But I have a couple rules for wearing leggings.
1.) Wear a long shirt that covers your hiney. Leggings are not pants, they are leggings. We've all fallen prey to being on the unfortunate end of standing behind someone who forgot to cover their hiney. H&M carries great long layering camis that I wear often. Leggings can only be "pants" if your hiney is covered. Kapeesh?
2.) Go heavier on top, if you are wearing leggings on the bottom. If I decide on leggings for the day, I try to wear a loose fitting tank or cardigan. If everything I'm wearing is form fitting, it can look like a spandex body suit, and I'm sorry, but I'm just not feeling the spandex bodysuit outside of yoga class.
When I shop for leggings, I try to think out of the box, and wear a "loud" print. A pretty print adds a whole new dimension to my outfit, rather than just wearing simple black leggings. If my leggings are "loud", I try to keep everything else simple: gray tank and a red cardigan.
Fun boots will also add another dimension to a comfortable outfit. Automatically, they make a very simple outfit look put together.
Boots: Minnetonka Moccs Leggings: Style Lately Tank: To Write Love On Her Arms Necklace: The Giving Keys Cardigan: f21 ( This is old school. I've quit shopping f21. Not a fan)
