Red and Gold. Two essential colours that symbolize the celebration of Chinese new year. It's my first one away from home (insert sad face). Usually what goes down during this time would be several visits to family and friends' homes, collecting red packets "otherwise known as lai-see", indulging in delicious Chinese food with a group of people (never alone!), buying new things, decorating, and doing calligraphy with my dad.

I remember it being a time where there was always something going on. The busiest and most energetic short holiday I would say.
