Driftwood Fall Pumpkin Wreath

I am so bad with wreaths.

I love how they look on other people's doors and I love all of the beautiful inspiration I see on Pinterest. However, I have a hard time making them. My front door and the sun aren't helping me either. We get the western sun all afternoon and my glass and handle have been known to give little children first degree burns. So no hot glue can hold up to that. Hot glue is my favorite craft supply and when I can't use it I feel kind of naked and out of my element.

Do you have a favorite go to supply that you always lean on?

I have had this simple driftwood wreath I bought ready made from the craft store for at least a year. I just love the color, shapes, and textures of driftwood even though we live no where near a beach. Since we do live in the mountains, a starfish, shell wreath would not work for us.I have been thinking and waiting and thinking some more. At the craft store the other day, I saw these simple and neutral pumpkins and knew that I found a solution!

I just adore the texture on this brown pumpkin. These little cuties were with the fall floral selection and they are on sticks so I was able to bend the stick and then tie it onto wood on the back of the wreath-no glue!

I really like this one. It's simplicity and neutral colors are just our style. It's fall without screaming, "FALL!" Do you decorate for fall or jump right into Halloween? Truth be told...I am not a HUGE Halloween fan. My daughter even bought Halloween decorations last year out of her own money because she was so sad at my lack of seasonal interest:) I would also rather have some decorations that can stay up for 3 solid months-easy.

I would love for you to follow along! Subscribe via bloglovin, e-mail or rss feed in a reader. I also post on Twitter, Hometalk, and Facebook almost every day. And did I mention my Pinterest addiction....
