Lauren Berger’s “Welcome to the Real World”

One of our favorite bloggers and authors is Lauren Berger – The Intern Queen. She is the founder of the InternQueen.com, a popular online resource for finding internships and learning how to get the most out of your experience. She founded the website after successfully completing 15 internships in college (nuts, right?) and recognizing a need for more internship resources.

A few years ago, Lauren published the book, All Work, No Pay: Finding an Internship, Building Your Resume, Making Connections, and Gaining Job Experience a book we continue to highly recommended to our readers, but she most recently came out with a new book TODAY just in time for May graduates and we got our hands on a copy.

Her new book is called, Welcome to the Real World: Finding Your Place, Perfecting Your Work, and Turning Your Job into Your Dream Career (available on Amazon.com now). It’s the quintessential workplace guide that helps anyone learning to navigate the start of their career. The best part of Lauren’s books is that it all comes from personal experience – situations we can relate too. In this book she talks about managing time, dealing with rejection and a difficult boss, how to get organized and most importantly, get promoted. She emphasizes how new graduates need to be bold and take risks – something M and I believe in as well.

Feeling like you need to read this book (just as we did)? Enter to win a free copy below. Giveaway ends April 30. Good luck xx
