Review + Swatches: MakeUp Revolution Salvation Palette - What You Waiting For?

'What you waiting, what you waiting, what you waiting fooor!' I can't sing, but I can at least pretend when typing! The one thing I've noticed about MakeUp Revolution is the ridiculously long names - although by no means are they the only brand guilty of this! After showing you some many new products from MakeUp Revolution I need to get my bum into gear and start reviewing the products! First up is something that I feel a lot of people are going to be interested, the nude palette!
// var _gaq = _gaq || (); _gaq.push(('_setAccount', 'UA-37824282-1')); _gaq.push(('_trackPageview')); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')(0); s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })(); //
As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics MakeUp Revolutions brand new Salvation palettes are limited edition, so if you want one, make sure to place an order before you miss out! Inside there is 18 beautiful shades - 12 shimmer and 6 matte (this is the same in all the Salvation Palettes). This isn't the only colour version available, there's 5 different varieties available - I featured another 'Dia De Los Muertos' in a recent haul post along with lots of the other new MakeUp Revolution Products, you can find it here - link. Inside the palettes there's 13g of product along with a large mirror and sponge tip applicators. It is available from MakeUp Revolutions Website for £6*.

The Formula 18 shades for just £6 is a baragin in most peoples eyes, but many may be wary of the quality, but I've been very happy with the quality. The pigmentation is good - even with the matte shades. All blend really well - yes even the matte shades! I don't find the texture chalky instead it is creamy, although there is some fallout down onto the tops of the cheeks. If you follow me on Twitter you may have seen that I tweeted about how long these lasted on me. I won't make you head over to Twitter to find out though, these lasted 8 hours on me without a primer with no creasing at all. The colour does fade a little without a primer, so I would still recommend using a primer!

The Colours The colours in this palette all stay along the same theme, nude/brown/bronze. The colours do all have names, but as there's 18 in total I'm not going to do the colour descriptions that I usually do with palettes - I think 18 would be too boring! As you can see the lighter matte shades don't shown up on my skintone at all - it's not that they're not pigmented, just that they're almost identical to my skintone. The colour range is good, with some nice lighter and darker shades with an array of pretty shades in the middle. There's actually a few dupes for the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette in here - but if you want a palette that dupes shade for shade, definitely check out their Iconic 3 Palette (see my comparison swatches here - link).

The Good - Pigmented, value, cheap, pretty colours, colours are named, mixture of matte & shimmer shades, blend well.
The Not so Good - Limited edition, some fallout.
