DIARY: FRIDAY PARKS W/ ADIDAS ORIGINALS PART 1

I have mentioned it before: Preußenpark in the posh district Berlin Wilmersdorf is probably the coolest park in town and definitely needs an entire post for itself. So here it is – my love confession to Thaipark.
I clearly remember the first time I spent a day here. It was a super hot sunday last summer and a good friend of mine (who is born and raised in Berlin) showed me this unique location. The closer we got to the park, the more colorful sun umbrellas attracted my attention. We sat down on a picnic blanket we brought with us and started to just watch the people having a good time, playing with their dogs, having snacks and drinks or tanning in the sun.
After some time we got hungry and thirsty for Mojitos and all we needed to do is put our #ZXFlux back on and walk over to one of the sun umbrellas where the cutest thai women were cooking the yummiest, traditional Asian food and offering it to the people around. We didn’t go home till sundown that day (kind of tipsy though).
The women probably don’t even have permissions to sell food from the green of a park, but the police doesn’t care anymore and so we Berliners are able to enjoy all those delicacies from Thailand for super low prices. The best thing: after a lot of times spending my sundays there I know exactly which Thai mommy offers the best Pho soup in the park and which one mixes the best (and strongest) Mojitos!
To anyone who lives in Berlin or visits the German capital in the summer time I highly recommend spending a day there. It’s really worth a visit and a way cooler story you can tell your friends afterwards than showing them boring pictures of you standing in front of typical touristy places like the Brandenburger Gate or the TV tower.
