ALL EYES ON: HIEN LE FOR ZIGN

I’m not a fan of high top sneakers or ankle-high boots at all. They make my already short legs turn into the shape of a little smurf and I hate the moment when my pants hemline touches the boots. It’s a thing that makes me feel really uncomfortable when I’m out on the streets needlessly worrying about what the people think about me and my ‘short’ legs.
After trying out high tops by Reeboks one year ago I promised to myself that I would stop trying to look good in boots or higher shoes forever.
And then, suddenly and out of nowhere the collaboration between Hien Le and Zign (Zalando) got launched. The Berlin based designer exclusively developed a beautiful graphic print for the shoe label that was used for a super chic capsule collection consisting of shoes/boots for him and her, small leather goods and bags. After I tried on the mens lace-ups for the first time I re-changed my mind once again: They are stretching my legs instead of shortening them and I love it. I can’t really explain why, maybe it’s because of the match between the black leather on the bottom of the boot and the softer printed material on top.
The Hien Le for ZIGN capsule collection is available online.
