Oh Baby it's Cold Outside...

After a chilly wander around the Christmas Market at St Albans, I couldn't wait to get back to the logburner. We've been keeping cosy with our logburner in the living room since the temperature really dropped and it's been roaring and crackling away for a couple of weeks now.
We use a combination of coal and wood to keep our fire going. So when Certainly Wood got in touch, I knew I had to have their help to keep things glowing. They have got all the firewood, kindling and firelighters to keep anyone with a fire going this Winter. My favourite is the giftset Yulelog*, not only for the fact it gives you everything you need to light your fire, but the meaning behind it. A Yulelog is a wooden log burned in the hearth as part of traditional Yule or Christmas celebrations. It's also said to be associated with the winter solstice festival or Twelve Days of Christmas, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Twelfth Night.
A great gift for someone with an open fire or logburner, you get everything you need in the set to get the fire roaring, including a lovely little scroll with a Yule greeting and lots of really interesting information about the meaning behind the Yulelog.
This is the first of two posts this evening, a day of cosy, logburner times on the blog. Bit later today, a great Christmas DIY I hope you'll enjoy...
