December Network of Nice Hookups! Bangkok life + Hawaii camping + Emigration advice

It's always nice to be nice, but don't you think that the holiday season calls for an extra dose of good karma? I do.
Here's the deal: 1) Read through the hook up requests. You see someone you can help? Email them. 2) Read through the hook up offers. You see someone who can help you? Email them. 3) Write kind, thoughtful thank-you email to anyone who was lovely enough to share their time and expertise with you because you're A Nice Person not an Ill-mannered A-hole.
I need a hookup!
I'm looking for people to interview on my blog!
I want to talk about countries, identities, and ethnicity, so if you're not from and currently residing in the US or UK, I would love to interview you. It would be great if you could email me with your name, age, blog link, and your country of origin where you're currently residing. saltandtruffles@gmail(dot)com
I am looking to find someone who has camped in Hawaii We are looking to camp in Kauai in late January or early February, but we would be open to any of the islands. We want something inexpensive easy and beautiful. Great places to eat and things to do are always welcomed advice as well!

I'd love advice on composing music for films I am an aspiring composer, and my dream is to write music for films. I have a bachelor's in music history/theory, but I've always been too intimidated by composing and the process of connecting with filmmakers to give it any serious effort. I would love to connect with anyone who writes music or makes films, especially anyone who needs a writing partner. I am an extremely empathetic and supportive person (in fact, I work at a non-profit for abused children), and will give great feedback! Hopefully soon I will be offering to write some free music for someone's project! rwilli78@utk(dot)edu

I'd like to know about moving to Hong Kong I am moving to Hong Kong in the beginning January and I need any advice people have about finding apartments, where to live, anything. And once I get there I would love to meet up with people, grab a coffee or something.

I'd like to chat with User Experience Design specialists in London I'm living in London right now and considering a career change to User Experience Design, I'd love to meet and talk to some people working in the industry (beer or coffee included!) about their experiences of the role. trishas_one@hotmail(dot)com
I'm looking for advice about applying to teach at international schools without a teaching certification.
I will soon have a master's degree and I have two years of non-mainstream teaching experience, but Search Associates and other recruiters are pretty big on having a certification. mrg018@bucknell(dot)edu
I'd love a Spanish-speaking conversation partner I am looking for someone who could commit to having a 5-10 minute weekly video conversation to help me with my Spanish. I am at a very beginner learning level. I live in a semi-remote area and will for the next year so finding someone locally is practically impossible. I would prefer wifi video conversation because my cell service is horrible. theadventurelistnow@gmail(dot)com
I'd like to know about moving to South Africa I'm moving just to keep exploring. No particular reason except that I've wanted to live in Cape Town, South Africa for awhile now. I've never been before but I've moved international three times now. UK, Australia, and Hong Kong. I plan on moving with a job so budget for rent would be around $700-$1000 US. If they know any job search sites that would be great too. I currently work in Broadcast Sales for ABC Sinclair, so I'll be looking for something in branding, advertising, sales, etc. But I really don't know much about SA so I've been researching and educating myself but I would love an insiders help. Both with geography, culture, and paperwork! aubreydougherty@gmail(dot)com
I need to know about emigrating from the US to Canada Hello! I’m looking for information, advice and experiences from anyone who has emigrated from the United States to Canada. I’m currently in a long distance relationship with my long-term boyfriend (from South Korea to Toronto, yikes!). Soon, I’ll be returning to the US and we’re looking for ways in which we can both live in the same country/city without getting married (yet), preferably Toronto. I hear it’s quite a difficult process and would love to hear from anyone who has firsthand experience. Thank you! neysha.bauer@gmail(dot)com
I need to know about living in Phoenix, Arizona! I'd love any advice on moving to Phoenix, AZ from LA, CA. I'm moving there for a 6 month internship and I have no idea how to do the out-of-state move! I'd like to know about any areas or places recommendable for short-term rentals, fun activities, and, if you're up to show me around once I’m there, that’d be amazing! risogawa@gmail(dot)com
I'd like to meet people in Washington, DC – DC, MD, VAI'm a 27-year-old single, professional, looking to meet some new liked-minded people! I enjoy reading, architecture, cinema, and trying new things. I have been in DC for a while, but have not had the chance to get out and meet new people of late. I would like to meet people who are at a similar stage and would like to catch up for coffee, or attend local events. I can be a bit of a homebody, so someone that likes to go out a little might be a good ying/yang situation!

I can give you a hook-up!
I can tell you about living in Bangkok I lived in Bangkok for 6 months whilst studying, and I'll be glad to answer any burning questions that you may have if you're considering this bold move! saltandtruffles@gmail(dot)com
I can help you figure it out! I would like to offer a free 30-minute life coaching call to five women in their twenties who are struggling with relationships, friendships or their career. I am extremely positive and kind, and I can help you see the bright side of your situation, weigh your options, and figure out what you want to do. kristyn@kristynchildres(dot)com
I can help you get unstuck in your genealogy research I do genealogy research and I am willing to help someone out that is also doing research but is stuck. I love a good challenge! I am willing to take on an ancestor you are having trouble finding to see what I can uncover. I can also give search tips, give you ideas of places to look that you might not have thought of. karimorford@yahoo(dot)com
