Yikes, I Paid $50 For A Tee Shirt But I Don’t Care

So about this $50 tee shirt. I can’t even believe this happened. I am a firm believer that cotton should be cheap. My spending limit for cotton tee shirts normally caps off at $30. And that’s on the higher end of the scale.

But of course someone tweeted this tee shirt and I instantly fell in love. Claire was a huge influence in my childhood. She was also a reflection of my real life mom. Claire was stylish and chic, but should she need to curse you out without using curse words…consider it done. To this day, I think if I met Phylicia Rashad I wouldn’t be able to keep it together. I’d totes be in groupie mood. But then again, maybe not. I wouldn’t want to embarrass my mom (laughs). She’d likely pay me a visit in my dreams to ask me why I acted like such a fool.

Oh how I miss Claire. Her character still influences the generation of today. Thanks to reality TV there is nothing on the tube.

Vivian was really a bonus. I was a hardcore fan, but I will admit that she too was a character the personified what being a Black mom meant for us.

All the said…I didn’t mind that much that this shirt was $50. It came from England so the currency screwed us. But I chalk it up to really supporting the arts! (giggles)

If you bank account is set up like mine you can purchase the shirt online at Apartment 349.
