11 Ways To Ogranize Your Makeup
Face it: the way you keep your makeup is a mess, and it’s ruining your life. Okay, a little exaggeration, but your organization can definitely use some work. Here’s 11 ways you can reorganize your makeup.
Stand up
This means no plastic containers that the product came in, or those fabric flap bags that came from MAC (you’re probably not a makeup artist who needs to use these). Grab a jar and put beads, epsom salt, or even coffee beans in there so the brushes will stand up easily, like in this setup from Fashion Diva Design.
Magnets all around
OMG, if you’re like me, you lose your tweezers every two seconds. (Why can’t I just keep it in the same place??) Place a magnetic strip behind your medicine cabinet or on your wall, and place anything that will stick on there. Your tweezers, nail clippers, bobby pins, eyelash curlers, whatever, so you will always know where it is.
Jars galore
This cool idea is way to repurpose your old candle jars for lipsticks and glosses. It will have your room looking like Sephora in no time, and who wouldn’t want that? Personally I’m not a fan of having all of my polishes on display on a wall. My house is not a nail salon. I’m all for taking the shades I would want to wear for the season, and putting them on an old frame so they are an arm’s reach away whenever I want to swap shades.
Mark it up
Write the date when you bought your makeup so you know when to get rid of it. There’s nothing worse than wearing super old foundation you should have gotten rid of months ago.
Spice up your perfume
Perfumes just might be the prettiest beauty item you have to display. Instead of keeping them stowed away in a drawer, put them out! Keep them neat by placing your bottles on a spice rack.
Divide and conquer
If you need to put your makeup in a drawer, use dividers to keep everything separate.
Tricks of the tray
For easy access, keep your makeup in a cutlery tray. This will help to find the things that you absolutely use every single day.
Pick a color
If you need to see all of your nail polishes, put them in a jar. Everyone will be envious of your entire collection. Just stack them in a way where you will be able to see all of the shades.
All magnet everything
If adding magnet strip to your wall wasn’t enough, why not ass magnets to the back of your makeup and stick to to a decorative wall?
Rack city
If all else fails, and you just need ONE thing to keep ALL your makeup in, this is the option for you. Grab a shoe rack you can hang on your door and stash away.
