Here’s What Happens When I Go Shopping For Fascinators [VIDEO]

I was invited by America’s Best Racing to take a road trip to the Saratoga Race Course with a bunch of my faves bloggers and editors. We’ll be heading up to Saratoga Springs, NY and I am literally up as I type this trying to decide what to wear (which also means that I am not really getting ready). The only thing I know for sure is that I’ve already got my fascinator ready! Thanks to my #DigitalSorority fam, Kela & Christen!

Earlier this week we headed down to Chelsea to shop for fascinators. Head dresser Dora Marra was nice enough to dress our heads for the occasion! I was totally against it at first. I pouted for the first 30 minutes. In my defense, I had a shoot earlier that day with Essence Magazine and I had totally forgot to eat. I looked up and it was 2:30pm and we were headed to Dora’s to shop. So I was ‘hangry’ (aka hungry and angry)! And…I was hot. Peep our sweaty glow.

Clearly Kela was hype while I’m all like UGH.

But after I cooled off, and realized the girls weren’t trying to jet early, I got over myself and I figured since I was there I would go ahead and have a little fun. I broke out my iPhone and started recorded, giggling, dancing–oh and trying on hats!

It’s hard to be in a funk around these pretty ladies! (Are my friends gorge?)
