Fall: 1940s Style

Fall is coming! I'm so excited for 60F weather this weekend!!! I'm still planning on some 30s projects for fall but I'd love to add some 1940s pieces to the sewing list too! Here are some patterns that I'd love to find in my stash for fall!

I love the color blocking on this cute dress! It's very practical but the color blocking gives it just enough pop. This would be a great pattern to use if you wanted to wear a color that doesn't usually look good on you. Use that color on the body of the dress and do the contrast by your face in a more flattering color.

Corduroy bomber jackets are so chic! I've got to finish up my knitted bomber jacket to wear this fall!

Wool skirts in a plaid or tweed are the perfect separates for fall. Line them or wear with slip to prevent the itch factor of wool.

I just adore the gathering details on this dress. It would look amazing in jewel tones. For fall, 3/4 length sleeves are perfect. Add a pair of longer gloves for instant cool factor.

And you can't go wrong with a great suit! They look so fabulous when worn together but you can also mix and match the pieces for even more great outfits. Also, I want those hats!

What are your favorite fall pieces?
