Beauty Products I'm Loving Right Now

Quite a few new products have landed on my desk recently and I've re-discovered an old favourite too. Today I'll be running you through some of my favourite products of the moment.

TheBalm 'Hot Mama' Blush: RRP $34.95
I picked this up from David Jones well over a year ago and it had been something I had stored away and forgotten about until recently when I was clearing out my stash and decided to start wearing it again. I've been loving the pretty rose gold flush it gives my cheeks and how I don't need to wear a highlighter when wearing this as the shimmer in the blush gives me all the glow I need. Love.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in 'Mood Light'* RRP $62
The Ambient Lighting Powders have been on my high-end wish list for some time now, but I kept stopping myself from spending so much money at my makeup heaven aka Mecca Cosmetica. Although now that I've tried one, I understand the hype and can definitely see myself hinting for another one at Christmas time! I was lucky enough to be sent 'Mood Light' to try. It is described as a sheer lavender pink and is designed to soften the way light is reflected on to the skin, making skin appear more youthful and radiant. I find that this is very flattering on my NC15 skin tone. It just adds a very subtle glow to my skin, but not too much that it stops me from using it all over my face. When I use this, my pores appear more refined and my skin looks more even. I absolutely love this product and couldn't recommend it enough. I've actually placed an order for 'Diffused Light' as well so I'll be sure to let you know how that one goes on my skin as I believe it is more yellow-toned. If you're looking for something that will make you glow all over, but not in a really artificial way, this powder is for you. If you are expecting a super shimmery highlighting powder or a lot of coverage, you may need to look elsewhere. If you are on the fence about purchasing, know that this compact goes everywhere with me. The packaging is gorgeous and very luxe, almost reason enough to buy it in my opinion!

Clarins Instant Concealer in 01* RRP $38 (Available from 7th October)
I'm constantly on the hunt for an under eye concealer that is light enough for my skin tone. The area around my eyes is much lighter than the rest of my face as well, so sometimes it can be tricky finding the perfect match. When I received this new Clarins concealer in the mail, I was concerned that even though it was the lightest shade, it might still be too dark, but lucky for me, it's a pretty good fit! It is described as 'a cream concealer that instantly refreshes the eyes, hides dark circles, smoothes and soothes the eye contour, reducing puffiness to illuminate the eyes in a single step, with a result that lasts all day long.' The tube is huge for an eye concealer (15ml), so I can see it lasting a really long time. It's quite a thin consistency, which I like. I'm not a huge fan of thick concealers around the eyes on me as I find they crease very easily. It offers good coverage and makes me look more awake, which is always important. The product comes in three shades which isn't a huge selection, but hopefully you will find one to suit you.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in 'Wild Watermelon' RRP $21.95
I've been wanting one of the four new Lip Butter shades ever since I started seeing them on US and UK blogs and I'm so glad the range came out finally in Australia. I had been eyeing them off for a couple of weeks and then happened to see the new collection in my local Chemist Warehouse recently where they had 50% Revlon, amongst other brands! I thought I would be good and only picked up one, the brightest from the range, called Wild Watermelon'. Let me know if you'd like to see swatches or a FOTD post with me wearing it. It's a gorgeous, bright colour that is really flattering on me and I can imagine, a lot of different skin tones. I'm very happy with this latest addition to my Lip Butter collection.

Essence Cream Blush in 'Ice Bomb'* RRP $4.95
Essence always seem to come out with really cute collections, but their latest takes the (ice-cream) cake! The collection is called 'Me and My Ice-Cream' and one of the products I was sent was the cream blush in 'Ice Bomb'. This is the first cream blush I have tried from the brand and I am absolutely in love with it. The texture is very strange and something I'm not really used to. It almost has a velvety feel to it and has a similar finish on the skin. It's difficult to describe, but I have read some reviews comparing it to Maybelline's Big Bouncy blush formula. The colour is extremely pigmented and I find I need only the tiniest dab of colour to blend all over my cheeks. I think this would be really great to layer under a powder blush in summer to ensure your cheeks are left with a pop of colour all day long. Nothing beats the price of essence products, they are just such good quality for so little money. I'm really impressed with this blush so I'm sad there was only one colour released with this collection, I would have bought them all!

Mecca Cosmetica Lip De-Luscious SPF 25 Hydrating Lip Protectant RRP $28
I don't think this product is new to the market, but I was only recently gifted it at an event so I've only just been trialling it recently. It has split time between my handbag and bedside table ever since. I literally use this every single day and it is honestly one of the best lip balms I've tried in a long time. The formula isn't too sticky or too thick, but extremely soothing and nourishing while offering a lovely glossy tint to the lips, all while providing SPF25 protection. The scent is lovely and not too overpowering and my lips feel really soft and smooth after using this. I highly recommend this for anyone who is on the hunt for a really good lip balm, especially leading in to the hotter months!

This is just a handful of the products I've been loving lately. I'd love to hear from you about some of your favourite products and if you have tried any of the ones I listed above.
