Weekend Update

1. We are in the wonderful midst of spring sale season and so I thought on top of all the sale PSAs, I’d share today one of my favorite sale picks, this classic black leather tote from Reed Krakoff, now 40% off.

Black totes for work are one of my most frequently received bag requests and they are hard to find on sale! The “Atlantique” is a classic style which would fit the bill for work, travel, and even weekend. It even comes with a black patent pouch, a detail I love – you can just take the bag to work and grab the pouch with your essentials when you run out for coffee or lunch.

2. I enjoyed this read from NY Mag, about the things that Parisians do which amaze New Yorkers…and vice versa. I’ve found myself in Paris four times in the last year and I can comment that for me, there’s nothing better on a cold Parisian day than walking down the street with a hot drink in hand! I won’t be giving that up any time soon.

3. I’ve received a few emails from readers looking to travel solo. I love having a few days or even hours during a solo work trip to explore a new city. Keeping in line with the Parisian theme above, here is a great article via The NYTimes about being a solo traveler in Paris.

4. This week I’d like to share an old favorite TV series of mine, which I recently found on Amazon – the entire series mind you – as available, and for under $20. The series is Daria, which I could watch over and over again.

If you love more sarcastic comedies and/or remember watching this back when MTV was better and laughing, I’d highly recommend picking up this DVD series! You’ll have hours of entertainment.
